“I want my people to be protected, strong, and not to be driven into corners until they either become killers or are killed!”
An angry book-guardian.
If only I could bring my books everywhere with me.
Ladies and Gentlemen, I present the entire series of the Penguin Drop Caps!
Get them here:
My bookshelf in October 2014. It’s back to being arranged by genre (sort of). I quite like it this way. There’s a gap on the second shelf because I’m waiting for Blue Lily, Lily Blue’s release.
Comparing Books by littlebookowl
I honestly think that this video is extremely important. It’s about how people take ‘judging a book by it’s cover’ to a new level. Catriona talks about people judging a UNRELEASED book just because it’s in the same genre of a well known and loved series. We all judge a book by it’s cover, even a little but to judge a book that hadn’t been released was…insane and I mean that in a bad way. Over time it’s become tedious that every dystopian was Hunger Games, every vampire book is Twilight and fantasy/magic genre was Harry Potter. I want to read Divergent and Maze Runner without it being a ‘New Hunger Games.’ Sometimes it’s good, if you liked the Hunger Games, you might see promise in a book but you will never truly know until you read it! Putting a label on it will not make up your mind. It’s saddening that Magisterium - The Iron Trial got so much hate because it supposedly ‘ripped off’ Harry Potter…no. I went on to Goodreads, all excited to add the Iron Trial to my TBR and the amount of judging and hate was upsetting, well I still liked the book. It’s not Harry Potter to me which I ranted about on my review
Thank you Catriona for the awesome video. The book blog community need to watch and reblog this post or share the video! Thanks!

I’ve got a pile of books to read.
The Seven Realms is a must-read series. From the day I finished reading it I haven’t been able to get it out of my thoughts. I loved the series so much that some of the characters felt like close friends. Each one was amazingly developed. I will miss them and, because of that, know that I will eventually pick up these four books again.
I’ve wanted to pick these up for a while
